4th of July Decorations

The separation of the American colonies from Great Britain occurred during the American Revolution on July 2, 1776 when the Second Continental Congress voted to approve a resolution of independence. 

Once independence was voted for, Congress focused on creating a formal document known as the Declaration of Independence, which was prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as the principal author.  The Declaration was debated and revised by Congress, with the final approval taking place on July 4. 

This national holiday is accompanied by patriotic displays and celebrated by families all over the United States of America.  The celebration includes fireworks, parades, political speeches, ceremonies, and other private and public events. 

Also, many host or attend a picnic or a barbecue and include decorations consisting of red, white, and blue colors, such as streamers, balloons, danglers, and more.
