Bad Paint Color

we have painted a room upstairs that we use as a computer room. The color is tuscan russet by Behr. It is semi gloss paint and we have wall to wall turquoise carpet. It looks so bad and I just don't know how to fix this. We have a very small budget. Do you have ant solutions for this decorating disaster? Please help.
Giorgina's Answer: I understand how challenging it is to decorate on a budget. Paint is the quickest and most affordable way to instantly transform a room. With a bedroom or office/computer room, my suggestion is to steer away from semi-gloss paints. This type of finish is suitable for a kitchen or bathroom. My recommendation is to opt for a satin or eggshell finish, which is not as shiny as a semi-gloss.
As for color, you may wish to opt for a lighter brown color that is neutral. This will give the impression that the room is bigger while giving it a warm and cozy feel. If you are able to, consider changing the carpet to one that is a light beige color. Your room will appear brighter and more spacious. You may wish to check out your local carpet stores to see if they are offering a sale. You’d be surprised at how some carpet stores offer sales where the sales tax and delivery fee is waived, along with a discount on the installation of the carpet and upgraded carpet pad.
