Best Color for Backsplash?

What is the best color backsplash to use with gold high gloss Italian kitchen cabinets and Gold Abyss CaesarStone countertop (this is black with gold flecks)? All appliances are stainless steel.

Giorgina's Answer: The countertops you have sound lovely. You may wish to use the same countertop for the backsplash or you may choose a different material, such as ceramic tiles, mosaic tiles, glass tiles, or stainless steel.

I would consider colors that are on the lighter side (such as lighter gold colors mixed in with beige tones) to provide a bit of a contrast with the countertops. You may also do a two tone combination for the backsplash.
