Black Couch with Brown Seats?

by Don
(Southeast, NY)

Can I put a black leather couch with a pair of brown leather seats They are the same type of leather (smooth, tight seamed).

Giorgina's Answer: Yes, you can definitely combine a black leather couch with a couple of brown leather seats. Brown is considered a warm and neutral color that represents wholesomeness, earthiness, simplicity, and friendliness. It is linked to taste and sophistication while at the same time, it is confident and calming.

Since it seems that you prefer a neutral palette, you may wish to include accent pillows on your couch and seats that feature brown, beige, and blue tones, along with an area rug that has beige tones to help tie it all together. Beige helps accompanying colors appear richer and brighter. In doing so, you will create a warm and cozy feel in the space.
