every occasion that you can download for free. Yes, for free. You can choose by celebration and by theme, and there are many cake decorating patterns available for each celebration category and theme. Another great resource is the "Secrets of Cake Decoration" e-book. Before baking a cake, you first want to select a theme. In doing so, you will know what type of cake pan you will need, along with the icing colors, fondant, and other necessary baking items. For instance, for an animal theme, you can use an animal-shaped pan. For a holiday like Easter, you can use a rabbit-shaped pan. If you prefer to keep it simple, you may use a round, square, or rectangular cake pan to bake your cake. Cake decorating patterns are available in the following: By Celebration

• Cake Decorating Pattern • Gel Food Coloring • Icing Gel • Parchment Paper • Tape Instructions: Step 1: Before transferring a cake decorating pattern onto a cake, you first want to make sure the cake is iced. Print a mirror image of the cake decorating pattern that you would like to transfer. To print a mirror image, set your printer properties to the “mirror image” setting.
How to Do a Frozen Buttercream Transfer (FBCT)
• Cookie Sheet or Cutting Board • Decorating Bags • Round Decorating Tip (Wilton #2) • Royal Icing • Small Icing Spatula • Tape • Wax Paper • Wilton’s Black Icing (comes in a tube) Instructions: Step 1: Select a cake decorating pattern and print a mirror image. Remember to have your image printed in the mirror image format when doing letters since you work on the back side of your transfer. If you are using an image taken from a coloring book, simply flip it over and trace the back of the page. Step 2: Tape the image to a cookie sheet or another hard surface, such as
a cutting board. Step 3: Tape a piece of wax paper over the image. Step 4: Trace an outline of the image using Wilton’s black icing. You can use Wilton’s round decorating tip #2 to pipe black icing around the outline of the picture. Put the cookie sheet containing the image in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Step 5: Remove the cookie sheet from the freezer and begin filling in the areas of the image using icing in the corresponding colors. Fill in around the image and any words with your background color. Use a small icing spatula to smooth over the image by applying slight pressure. This will help to fill in all the crevices and get rid of bubbles. Step 6: Leave the image on the cookie sheet and place it in the freezer for 24 hours to allow the icing to harden. Step 7: Remove the cookie sheet from the freezer, remove the image, and turn it over onto an iced cake (with the icing side down and the wax paper on top). Gently press the image into the icing. You may use tiny dots of royal icing to hold the image in place. Step 8: Carefully remove the wax paper. Step 9: You may pipe around the edges of the image to enhance it and add other finishing details to the cake. It’s amazing how these simple techniques will allow you to produce a lovely image on a cake for all to admire. All it takes is a little bit of patience and time. The process is exciting and fun!
