Centering Picture Left to Right?

I have a futon against a wall but it's not centered on the wall. Do I hang a picture centered over the futon? Or center it on the wall itself??

Giorgina's answer: Hi Beth, when you walk into a room, our eyes are trained for symmetry. As such, you're better off centering it on the wall itself.
