Colors for Bathroom Shower?

by Elsa
(Roseville, CA)

We have a bathroom dilemma. We currently have black marble tile flooring with a white tile tub and shower. The flooring tile is small squares. Our vanity is light brown granite, which we like.

We want to remodel and keep the vanity the way it is, but don’t know what colors or materials to go with for the tub, shower, and floor.

Also, a wall color suggestion would be helpful. Please help.

Giorgina's Answer: A bathroom remodel is always exciting. It gives you the chance to be creative.

For the tub and shower, perhaps you may want to consider granite slab to match your vanity or marble tile in a lighter shade of brown.

Also, a frameless shower door will look lovely because there’s no metal surrounding the frame and it is less maintenance.

A nice choice for flooring is travertine in larger tiles. Consider having the tile installed in a diagonal pattern because this will give the impression that the room is larger. Good color choices for the flooring are beige/gold tones.

Lastly, for the wall color, a nice neutral color is Café Au Lait by Kelly Moore paint or you can do a faux finish in a gold color.

I hope this helps! Best of luck with your remodel, and if size is an issue, check out our Small Bathroom Decorating Ideas article.
