Covering Teen Bedroom Wall with Cork Board?

My teen daughter is redecorating her room and we want to cover some of the wall with something that can be painted like the rest of the wall but can be used for the ever changing posters, pictures and stuff that gets tacked to walls. The idea is to keep the pictures/posters etc in a localized area (or 2) so it looks less cluttered and as a side benefit protects the wall. Can cork be painted or is there another product that will fit the bill?
