Door Frame Paint Color?

The interior walls in my home are a pale beige color and the doors and door frames are white. I like the contrast of the white, but in time, it yellows and then it just looks old. I don't want to repaint too often and end up with thick layers of paint on the doors and frames. I was thinking of repainting with a color that would look good with the beige walls, but I don't know what. I want something neutral that looks classy. Have you any ideas? I would be grateful for your advice. Giorgina's Answer: I agree that the contrast of white provides interest to the overall look of your home. Also, it is not common practice to paint walls and door frames the same color. You may wish to consider a white color that is a couple of shades darker, such as Kelly Moore paint color: Western Acoustic (acry-plex 100% acrylic interior semi-gloss enamel finish). This is typically used for interior doors, door frames, crown moldings, and baseboards.
I do not believe there is a Kelly Moore where you reside, but you may search for this color on their website and perhaps your local paint store may have some sort of an affiliation with Kelly Moore or may have a comparable paint color. Also, if Western Acoustic seems too bright, you may wish to consider a darker shade, such as a color called Bone.
I believe that either the Western Acoustic or Bone color will achieve the classy and neutral look you want.
