Give Kitchen a Facelift?

by Laurie
(Ohio)

I would like to give my kitchen a facelift. I am on a very limited budget. I really like French Provincial country design. I have blue counter tops and oak colored cabinets, white appliances. Really don't have money to change the counters. What are some options for paint colors? I could paint the cabinets. I guess although I have never done that before. I will be getting new flooring. Was wondering about a red color? Your input would be much appreciated!

Giorgina's Answer: French Country is a lovely design. Red, blue, and yellow are primary home decorating colors and so your blue counter tops will go well with the red flooring you are contemplating. You may also opt for hardwood floors, which is popular in a French Country design.

As for a potential cabinet color, you may wish to consider an off white or blue color. If your cabinets have knobs, you might want to replace them to give the appearance of your cabinets a fresh look.
