Our Oasis in the City

Despite a long 15 month painful experience with house flooding, permit issues, poor workmanship along with change of contractors, our project is finally complete. I could go on for hours about the nightmare this was and all the deadlines which came and went and the cost overruns, but we have decided to put that behind us now and have dismissed taking legal action. Life is too short and other issues in our lives along the way took precedent.

We finally have a stunning all season heated,air conditioned oasis.

I did the decorating myself and was fortunate to be able to match and continue the oak flooring from the original wood floor which was installed when the house was built 6 years ago. This project is our "cottage at home" project and is delightful to wake up to every morning. I cannot wait for our beautiful Canadian fall season. The colors will be spectacular in the background.
Listening to the waterfall just outside the structure adds to the enjoyment.

This structure will create a beautiful backdrop for my daughter's upcoming wedding activities.
I bought the lovely green leather sofa and built the decor around it. It has a bit of an Asian theme to it. I tried to avoid the "Golden Girls Florida sun room theme" as my daughter calls it, as it is truly an extension of our existing living room space
