Outdoor Easter Brunch Decorations?

by Catrina
(Seattle, WA)

I am hosting an Easter brunch this year and we are having it in our backyard. Can you please offer some ideas for outdoor decorations?

Giorgina's Answer: There are so many lovely things you can do to make your Easter celebration special. The garden is the perfect place to host Easter because of the springtime. All the birds are chirping and the flowers have bloomed.

Some ideas include the following:

*Attach a “Happy Easter” banner on the fence closest to where the guests will be sitting.

*Attach bunny cutouts as well as egg cutouts on various areas of the fence to tie in the theme.

*You may also wish to include bunny garden stakes throughout the yard.

*Another idea is incorporate a giant inflatable bunny in the backyard as a means of welcoming guests.

*You may also place a couple of bunny statues in the garden.

*The use of table linens consisting of pastel colors, along with a bunny or egg design will further enhance the outdoor décor.

*Use quilted Easter egg placemats and mix up the colors for variety: yellow, red, green, and blue.

*Display a lovely basket on the table that includes chocolates, marshmallow treats, and other tempting treats for guests.

*Adorn the table with several purple vases consisting of fresh flowers, such as Easter lilies and colorful tulips for added color and beauty.

*As a yummy treat, place a candy dish that features a bunny design along with jelly beans on the table.

*If you have a dessert table, you may wish to use a matching table linen and place a one tier or two tier dessert stand that has a bunny design as a means of displaying your desserts.

*Hang Easter paper lanterns on the pergola, trellis, or somewhere in the garden.

These are just a few ideas to help you get started on making your Easter spectacular. For more ideas, please check out our Outdoor Easter Decorations article.
