Resin Garden Stepping Stones?

Do you know which garden stepping stones I should go with – resin or slate? I like these solar ones, but they are made from resin and I am worried that the resin will crumble over time.

Giorgina's Answer: My personal experience has been to opt for slate. Slate is timeless and with it being exposed to the elements, it will weather gracefully with the passage of time.
 
Resin can erode over time and is more delicate. Extra care has to be taken when moving resin pieces around so as to prevent them from falling and breaking.
 
You can actually find solar stepping stones that are made from slate. They are a little more expensive, but it’s definitely worth the investment because they look very attractive due to their natural characteristics.
