What Color Bed?

What color bed and accent pieces such as nightstands, rugs, etc would match with a walnut colored armoire and vanity. Also in the room there are black velvet drapes. What colors should the bed, bedding, and other accent pieces be in order to work with the walnut colored armoire and vanity, and the black velvet drapes? the room is for my college student so we want the room to be young and girly and fun.
