What Paint Color to Choose?

I am redoing my bedroom. It’s a small room, 8x12. I have purchased black furniture and a walnut laminate floor. I was wondering what color should I paint my room to match my furniture and that also won't make my room look small?

Giorgina's Answer: Lighter colors give the impression that the space is larger and more open. Some colors to consider are soft shades of blue and green. This gives the room a relaxing feel. Also, a pastel yellow is a nice color since it is cheerful. To give the appearance that the room has more height and to make it appear brighter, you may wish to paint the ceiling a white color.
