Windows

I have a few questions and was hoping to get a few ideas on what would look best for a few of the windows in my home.
1. In my living room I have a large picture window on the north wall, this is also the wall that houses my living room sofa. This large window ends about a foot and half from my baseboard molding. On the east side of the living room I have an average size window that ends about 3 ft above the baseboard molding and that does not currently have any furniture in front of it. My question is, in buying drapes for the living room, do I have to take into account the difference in height to wall space ratio and if so would long curtains down to the baseboard of floor look silly in the smaller window on the east side? What window treatments would you suggest to pull off a look that compliments both windows and the cottage home feel I am trying to achieve?
2. I also have a frosted window in my shower tub in the guest bathroom. The window is properly encased and has no moisture issues but I want to dress up the tub and give it a spa like feel. Do you think that I should hang some sort of waterproof curtain in there or is there any other decorating tips I could use to make it feel "nice" when you step in to take a shower.
Thank you for your help, I look forward to hearing your responses :)
